Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

Short version

Your PDF files never leave your browser. We don't see them, store them, or have any way to access them. The only data we collect is anonymous usage analytics (page views, country) so we can improve the product. You can disable analytics with one click.

What runs in your browser

All 10 tools (compress, split, merge, convert, OCR, summarize, remove-pages, extract-images, remove-metadata, remove-watermark) process files locally using JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib, pdf.js, Tesseract.js). Open your browser's Network tab while using any tool and you'll see zero file upload traffic.

What does NOT happen to your files

Exception: AI Summary (optional)

The AI Summary tool can optionally use OpenAI's API to polish your local summary. This only happens if you explicitly provide your own API key. If you don't enter a key, summary runs entirely on-device. If you do provide a key, your document text is sent to OpenAI over HTTPS โ€” it is not stored by us, but is subject to OpenAI's privacy policy.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible or self-hosted Umami) that collect only: page URL, referrer, country, device type. No cookies, no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking. You can opt out via the "Do Not Track" browser setting.

Cookies

We use one localStorage entry to remember your theme preference (light/dark). We do not set any tracking cookies. The "cookie banner" you see is shown for legal compliance in the EU โ€” accepting it just means you've seen this notice.

GDPR & CCPA rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing for us to delete or export. If you have questions, contact privacy@wezzik.com.

Children's privacy

PDF Toolkit AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We'll post changes here with an updated date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app for 30 days.
